Good communication is critical for any workplace. When I Work offers several ways to communicate with your team.

WorkChat (real-time chat)

WorkChat allows everyone at your workplace to communicate in real time, no matter where they are. For example, you might want to start a discussion, share an image, send an announcement, or just let your coworkers know you’re running late.

Users can send WorkChat messages from your computers, iOS device, and Android device.

By default, WorkChat is turned on for your workplace. You can manage WorkChat settings from your computer.

Send group emails and text messages

Send a group email or TeamTxt when you need to send your team a message that doesn’t require two-way communication.

**NOTE: The ability to send custom text messages will be sunset as of December 1, 2025. You will have until this date to use any TeamTxt credits you have purchased. The “Send Email” function will remain, however only registered users of the platform will be able to receive this type of communication. Moving forward, we recommend using the WorkChat function above.

You can also send group emails from your iOS device or Android device.

Post an announcement

The annotations feature lets you post announcements for your team. For example, you can let your staff know that your business is closed, prevent users from taking time off, or send a general announcement.

You can add annotations from your computer, iOS device, or Android device.
