Overview
Create shift task lists to capture tasks that need to be completed during a particular shift. Shift task lists can be added on the scheduler to custom shifts and to shift templates.
Shift task lists are for duties that are to be completed by a single user during their scheduled shift. For tasks that can be completed by any user working, see Setting Up Team Task Lists.
You can also set up shift tasks from your Computer or Android device.
Managing shift task lists
From the When I Work Staff Scheduling app, tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen then tap Task Lists.
Adding a shift task list
Set up a new shift task list to group tasks that need to be completed on the assigned day/s.
- On the Task Lists page, tap .
- Enter a name for the list, then choose Shift List.
- Select which Shift Templates you want the task list to be associated to.
- Add tasks:
- Tap Add a task , then enter a description of the task.
- Repeat for each new task.
- When you’re finished, tap Save.
Editing a shift task list
You might want to edit a task list if you need to rename it, change when it’s scheduled, or add/update/remove a task.
- From the Task Lists page, tap the task list you want to edit.
- Update the task list:
- To rename the task list, tap List Name.
- To change the Shift Templates associated with the list tap the Shift Templates row.
- To add a task to the list, tap Add a task
- To edit a task, tap the task name.
- To delete a task, tap next to the task.
- To schedule the task list, tap Every. See Scheduling Team Tasks for more details.
- When you’re finished, tap Save.
Deleting a shift task list
Delete a task list if you don’t plan to use it in the future and don’t need to keep information about its past use.
- From the Task Lists page, swipe the task you want to delete to the left.
- Tap .
- Tap Delete to confirm.
