Overview
Two-step verification adds a second layer of security to your account by requiring another method of verification beyond your initial password.
This article covers enabling two-step verification on your iOS device. You can also enable and log in with two-step verification on your computer or Android device.
Before you begin
If you choose the authenticator app path, install an Authenticator App on your mobile device. When I Work recommends Authy, LastPass, or Google Authenticator.
Enable two-step verification using an authenticator app
- Tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Profile Settings.
- Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap the Two-Step Verification field.
- Tap Authenticator App. If you haven’t already, install an authenticator app.
- Tap Next, then tap Copy Key.
- Navigate to your authenticator app, create an account and paste the key in the key field. Complete the authenticator app setup.
- Copy the authentication code, then navigate back to the When I Work mobile app.
- Paste the authentication code, then tap Next.
- A success message is displayed when two-step verification is enabled. Tap Copy Codes and paste them into an email to send to yourself for backup purposes.
- Tap Done to complete the setup.
Enable two-step verification using SMS text messaging
- Tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Profile Settings.
- Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap the Two-Step Verification field.
- Tap SMS (Text Message).
- Enter your mobile phone number, then tap Next.
- Enter the authentication code that was sent to you via text, then tap Next.
- A success message is displayed when two-step verification is enabled. Tap Copy Codes and paste them into an email to send to yourself for backup purposes.
- Tap Done to complete the setup.
