Reporting Your Tips

With tips tracking enabled, you are prompted to enter your tips and any relevant notes upon clocking out of your shift. You can also report your tips on an iOS device or Android device. Clock out of your shift. Enter the amount of tips you earned and any notes that would be helpful. Click Clock Out.

Set Up Tips Tracking

Enable Tips Tracking if you want your employees to report the tips they earned for each shift. Users are asked how much they earned in tips upon clocking out. You can report tips using a computer, iOS device, or Android device. This data can be used when running Payroll and also sent over to an integration. Tax Purpose Reported tips are tips that have already been paid out and are used for tax purposes. These are not tips owed to the user in a paycheck. Hover over , then select Attendance Settings. If you are paying contractors in addition to employees using When I Work Payroll, there are some differences that should be noted. This article serves as a reference for what these differences are. Exclude Users From Payroll

You can elect to exclude individual users from payroll. This is useful if, for example, you want to give your accountant access to When I Work Payroll to process payroll. Take a peek at the considerations below for more context on what happens when a user is excluded. The excluded user is not sent to the payroll engine. You can manage your pay information in your user profile. Pay information includes: Bank account information Tax withholding information You can also manage your pay information from a computer or Android device.
